  5. *** Overview ***
  6.  
  7. Ristra Mail Monitor brings the convenience of automatic and on demand e-mail
  8. checking to the user of web-based mail services include: Hotmail, Net@ddress
  9. and AmExMail (usa.net), Yahoo! Mail, ZDNetMail, Excite Mail, MailCity, 
  10. Angelfire Mail, EudoraMail and RocketMail. Multiple accounts of different 
  11. services are supported.

  13. In addition, it will allow user to log in to the account more conveniently
  14. by launching default web browser and open up the log in page of the specified
  15. mail service.

  17. Evaluation version of this product can only be used for 14 days after the
  18. first installation. Only the registered user will be able to use this product
  19. afterwards and also get the priority support from us. Please see the file
  20. REGISTER.TXT, Mail Monitor home page or Mail Monitor Help for more detail 
  21. on how to register.

  32. *** System Requirements ***
  33.  
  34. Mail Monitor requires system with Windows 95/98 or Windows NT 4.0 or 
  35. newer version to run on. An Internet connection is also required during the
  36. operation of Mail Monitor.

  38. You will need a web browser if you want Mail Monitor to launch the web
  39. browser and go to the log in page automatically. The browser that Mail
  40. Monitor supports are Netscape Navigator 3 and Microsoft Internet Explorer 3
  41. or newer version of both products.

  43. *** Installation and Uninstallation ***
  44.  
  45. If you are installing over the previous installation, please uninstall Mail
  46. Monitor before proceeding.
  47.  
  48. You can uninstall Mail Monitor by doing either one of the following:
  49.  -Select Programs, Ristra Mail Monitor, Uninstall Mail Monitor from the Start
  50.   menu.
  51.   or
  52.  -Select Settings, Control Panel from the Start menu. Then double clicking at
  53.   the Add/Remove Programs icon.  After that select Ristra Mail Monitor from
  54.   the list and then press Add/Remove button.

  56. To install Ristra Mail Monitor, first decompress the MAILM13.ZIP file to a
  57. directory (by using WinZip or any other ZIP decompression utilities), then
  58. select Run from the Start menu on the taskbar, type the full path of the
  59. directory follow by SETUP.EXE (for example, C:\DOWNLOAD\SETUP.EXE), press the
  60. Enter key and follow the prompts.

  62. If you use WinZip, you can also click on the Install button to automatically
  63. decompress and install Mail Monitor. In case that you don't have WinZip, you
  64. can download it from http://www.winzip.com

  66. *** Getting Start ***
  67.  
  68. Start up the program by clicking at Ristra Mail Monitor icon from the Start
  69. menu. After the program loading is finished, you will see the Mail Monitor
  70. icon in standby mode on the task bar.
  71.  
  72. Before you can have Mail Monitor checking the mail for you, you must set up
  73. the account first. Once you have set up the accounts, you may want to set
  74. preferences. Then you can check mail either on preset interval or on demand.

  76. When new mail arrive, you will see the flashing icon. Then after you have
  77. viewed the status, the icon will be back to the standby mode.
